Firmstone did not immediately respond to a request for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The new residential building \u2014 if approved \u2014 will span 22,210 square feet, according to the filing. Details on the units and amenities for the new residential property have not been provided. However, the plans did note there will be between four and six residences per floor, as well as a top-floor penthouse unit.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Not far from the planned residential building \u2014 13 minutes by bus in fact \u2014 stands the long-vacant Kingsbridge Armory, which will <a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/2025\/06\/kingsbridge-armory-redevelopment-community-condos\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">soon be converted<\/a> into community-owned commercial condominiums and industrial space.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Developers <a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/company\/maddd-equities\/\" title=\"Maddd Equities\" class=\"company-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Maddd Equities<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/company\/joy-construction\/\" title=\"Joy Construction\" class=\"company-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Joy Construction<\/a> teamed up with nonprofit Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition (NWBCCC) in June to redevelop the armory.
