(WIBW) &#8211; A science festival is returning to Manhattan later this month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Kansas Science Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at the Manhattan Public Library, 629 Poyntz Ave.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Organizers say the festival \u201ccontinues its mission to co-create Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math experiences that spark excitement and curiosity in learners of all ages.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"The fifth annual Kansas Science Festival is set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at...\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/UZEEYFIE7ZEQZBDKHPEFOJTMNY.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"549\" \/>The fifth annual Kansas Science Festival is set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at the Manhattan Public Library, 629 Poyntz Ave. in Manhattan.(Submitted)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Just like last year\u2019s event, which attracted more than 3,000 visitors, attendees can expect a broad array of activities by STEAM practitioners from across the state who will share about what they do through \u201cfun activities suitable for all ages,\u201d organizers said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The event is expected to feature more than 130 presenters along with 30 booths both inside and outside the library.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Booths will offer attendees the chance to learn about \u201cthe marvels of microscopic organisms to the exploration of Kansas\u2019s native fish and theintriguing world of biophysics,\u201d organizers said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Other highlights will include face-painting as well as appearances by Mad Science of Kansas City; the Veggie Meter; Poet in a Box; A &amp; H Farm\u2019s petting zoo; the Johnson Cancer Research Center; and Anesthesia Associates\u2019 simulated operating room<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The bingo card will be back, designed to enhance the experience by guiding visitors through a selection of activities and providing them with an opportunity to win prizes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cOur ability to arrange such a diverse range of events has been made possible through the kind contributions of individuals and organizations within our communities\u201d, says Alina De La Mota-Peynado, president of the Kansas Science Festival. \u201cWe are especially thankful for the numerous STEAM practitioners dedicating their time to highlight the incredible variety of methods Kansans use to understand and learn about the world around us, as well as for the event sponsors who have provided resources to facilitate these events.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Other event sponsors include the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation; the Manhattan Public Library; and Sunset Zoo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">For more information or to contribute to this year\u2019s festival, visit us at <a href=\"https:\/\/sciencefestks.org\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/sciencefestks.org\" target=\"_blank\">sciencefestks.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 WIBW.
