{"id":200289,"date":"2026-04-17T02:34:44","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T02:34:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/200289\/"},"modified":"2026-04-17T02:34:44","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T02:34:44","slug":"victoria-beckham-addresses-feud-with-son-brooklyn-in-new-interview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/200289\/","title":{"rendered":"Victoria Beckham addresses feud with son Brooklyn in new interview"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Victoria Beckham is speaking out about her rift with son Brooklyn Peltz Beckham. <\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/style\/fashion\/victoria-beckham-gap-8f52aea1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">WSJ Magazine<\/a>, the former Spice Girl shared insight into her relationship with her son, although she did not refer to him by name. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that we\u2019ve always \u2014 we love our children so much,\u201d Beckham said. \u201cWe\u2019ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we\u2019ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we\u2019ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that\u2019s all I really want to say about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The response comes after Peltz Beckham took to his Instagram Story in January to accuse his parents of \u201cendlessly trying to run\u201d his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham.  The 27-year-old claimed his parents \u201crepeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe\u201d  him into signing away the rights to his name, that his mother \u201chijacked\u201d the first dance during his wedding and that his family \u201cvalues public promotion and endorsements above all else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we\u2019ve tried to come together as one,\u201d Peltz Beckham wrote. \u201cFamily \u2018love\u2019 is decided by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo opp, even if it\u2019s at the expense of our professional obligations.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Peltz Beckham ended the post writing, \u201cI do not want to reconcile with my family. I\u2019m not being controlled, I\u2019m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After the Instagram bombshell, fans believe David Beckham broke his silence while speaking about the power of social media during an interview in January on <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/video\/2026\/01\/20\/bank-of-america-ceo-brian-moynihan-and-david-beckham-on-sports-with-us-partnership.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">CNBC\u2019s \u201cSquawk Box<\/a>.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey make mistakes, but children are allowed to make mistakes. That is how they learn. That is what I try to teach my kids,\u201d David Beckham said. \u201cYou sometimes have to let them make those mistakes as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During Peltz Beckham\u2019s birthday in March, his parents  wished him happy birthday and shared that they love him on their Instagram Stories. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Victoria Beckham is speaking out about her rift with son Brooklyn Peltz Beckham.
