An NYPD cop on horseback chased down a convicted killer parolee who swiped a purse on the Upper West Side in a wild pursuit fit for a western flick, dramatic footage shows.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Felicia Field, 44 \u2014 who robbed and killed a cab driver with her boyfriend in April 2000 \u2014 snatched the bag from a woman on 72nd Street and Columbus Avenue at around 11 a.m. Wednesday then tried to hoof it away, police said.<\/p>\n

The fearless mounted cop<\/a> and his studly sidekick, Kelly, quickly galloped across a busy street and down a crowded sidewalk to nab her and recover the purse, according to a tweet from the NYPD.<\/a><\/p>\n Field was arraigned and set free on supervised release Thursday morning \u2014 less than 24 hours after her arrest.<\/p>\n The John Wayne-worthy body cam footage shows the officer shouting \u201cPolice, stop! Stop running!\u201d as he chases after the crook down on horseback.\u00a0<\/p>\n Field allegedly then darts into traffic before the hot-to-trot horse, a 23-year-old standardbred bay,\u00a0 catches up to her. She\u2019s then shown being cuffed by cops.<\/p>\n \u201cWhether on foot or on hooves, our officers are always ready,\u201d the NYPD declared on X.<\/p>\n Police arrested convicted killer Felicia Field, 44, for the purse theft. NBC New York<\/p>\n Field was charged with grand larceny and false impersonation for allegedly lying about her name. She has 14 prior arrests on her record.<\/p>\n She\u00a0has been arrested for three other crimes this year, including allegedly threatening someone with scissors, kicking a man and stealing $900 in merchandise.<\/p>\n She served 25 years behind bars for the 2000 killing until she was paroled last year.<\/p>\n Field was 18 years old in April 2000, when she and her boyfriend, Charles Rhodes, 17,\u00a0 and a friend, Tyrek Cross, 17,\u00a0\u00a0hailed a cab in East\u00a0New York with a plan to rob the driver at gunpoint, police said at the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n During the holdup, the\u00a0cabbie, \u00a0Saro Manuel Lopez \u2014 a 43-year-old father of five \u2014\u00a0was fatally shot in the back of the head, marking the ninth killing of a cab driver that year.<\/p>\n Felicia Field was convicted of fatally shooting a cab driver in April 2000..
