After a sold-out night in Brooklyn, K-pop vocal powerhouse NMIXX continues to prove that their stage presence extends far beyond performance, telling amNewYork that it\u2019s about the lasting emotional connections they forge with fans.<\/p>\n

Inside the Brooklyn Paramount Theater on March 31, more than 2,700 fans packed every inch of the venue, from the orchestra floor to the back bar, craning for a glimpse of Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin. Beneath the glow of the theater\u2019s neon marquee, NMIXX delivered a performance that underscored their musical versatility and cemented their place as one of K-pop\u2019s most dynamic rising acts.<\/p>\n

As the lights settled after the first stage fully settled, LILY took in the sea of fans and smiled. \u201cNew York has such magical energy,\u201d she said. \u201cThere\u2019s a reason there are so many songs about it. New York is incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since their 2022 debut, NMIXX has carved out a bold identity through \u201cMIXX POP,\u201d a genre-defying approach that seamlessly blends contrasting sounds into a single track. That unpredictability translated effortlessly to the stage in Brooklyn, where the group moved from explosive, bass-heavy anthems to emotionally driven ballads without losing momentum.<\/p>\n

Across a sprawling 28-song setlist\u2014including \u201cDASH,\u201d \u201cDICE,\u201d \u201cO.O,\u201d \u201cLove Me Like This,\u201d \u201cRun for Roses,\u201d and \u201cTIC TIC\u201d\u2014NMIXX showcased not only unrelenting stamina, but remarkable control. Their live vocals remained crisp even through high-impact choreography, reinforcing their standing as one of the most technically skilled acts of their generation.<\/p>\n

When amNewYork caught up with the group, NMIXX reflected on that reputation, but emphasized that what resonates most goes beyond precision. For them, it\u2019s the emotional exchange with their audience that ultimately defines each performance.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI want people to look forward to our next tour,\u201d HAEWON shared. \u201cRather than being perfect, our performances are about enjoying the moment. If the people who were with us this time come back again, I couldn\u2019t ask for anything more.\u201d<\/p>\n

That sheer feeling of adoration was palpable as fans, known as NSWERs, held their lightsticks high, singing along in unison. For many, NMIXX\u2019s music has become more than entertainment; it\u2019s a refuge.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel so honored,\u201d LILY said. \u201cMusic is a safe space for me, and the fact that it can be that for other people means so much. Sometimes the energy gets overwhelming, and I get emotional.\u201d<\/p>\n

For BAE, those shared moments, when joy and vulnerability collide, are what make the stage feel sacred. \u201cWhen NSWER and NMIXX laugh together and cry together, that\u2019s when I feel like we\u2019re truly one,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The group\u2019s world tour, , supports their first full-length album \u201cBlue Valentine,\u201d released in October 2025, and after a week, it reached No. 1 on the Melon Top 100. The record further cements their genre-fluid identity, pairing the soaring title track with high-energy cuts like \u201cSPINNIN\u2019 ON IT\u201d and reimagined versions of their debut single \u201cO.O.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

That wide range of music that has defined their career was especially evident during live performances of \u201cBreak The Wall\u201d and \u201cAdore You.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Break The Wall\u2019 has parts where we sing together with fans, so it feels even more overwhelming in the best way,\u201d KYUJIN said. \u201cAnd \u2018Adore You,\u2019 as the final song, always feels especially emotional.\u201d<\/p>\n

NMIXX confesses that even offstage, that same sense of unity fuels the group through the demands of idol life.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cEven when things feel overwhelming, seeing the members and staff doing their best gives me strength,\u201d JIWOO said. \u201cI want to be that source of strength for them, too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the intensity of their schedules, NMIXX\u2019s bond, and their commitment to their craft, has only sharpened their edge. It\u2019s that determination that continues to push their performances beyond spectacle into something more lasting.<\/p>\n

Looking back on their journey, LILY offered a reflection she wishes she could give her younger self: \u201cStop getting lost in your work. Pay attention to the people around you. Live a little.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a sentiment that extends to their fans as well.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cAt least during our performance, I hope you can forget your worries,\u201d JIWOO added. \u201cYou did well just by coming here.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

By the time the final notes echoed through the theater, fans shared that this experience meant so much more than a typical tour stop; it was a space where genre, performance, and vulnerability collided in real time.<\/p>\n
