Trump touted his deployment of troops to the southern border to end the years-long migrant crisis, his deployment of the National Guard into major cities to reduce violent crime and his two-month campaign of bombing alleged drug boats off the coast of South America.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn my first day back to the White House, I deployed the men and women of the United States military to stop the invasion on our southern border,\u201d Trump said, describing the border now as \u201ctight as a drum.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trump repeated his threat to deploy troops to Chicago to drive down shootings and murders.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe can\u2019t have cities that are troubled. And we\u2019re sending in our National Guard, and if we need more than the National Guard, we\u2019ll send more because we\u2019re gonna have safe cities,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re not gonna have people killed in our cities, and whether people like that or not, that\u2019s what we\u2019re doing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump said the boats he began bombing off the coasts of Venezuela and Colombia last month each \u201ckill on average 25,000 people.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFor many years, the drug cartels waged war on America and, at long last, we\u2019re finally waging war on the cartels,\u201d he said. \u201cNow we\u2019ll stop the drugs coming in by land. That\u2019s going to be very easy.\u201d<\/p>\n
