Edgar Spence, 78, was shot in the torso at the Mitchel Houses at 205 Alexander Ave. in Mott Haven at around 10:25 p.m., according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n

Spence lived in another NYCHA building on Alexander Avenue.<\/p>\n It was unclear what prompted the shooting.<\/p>\n There have been no arrests.
