We&#8217;re not trying to gouge anybody. We&#8217;re trying to recover the cost of $48 million that it&#8217;s going to cost by charging $150 a ticket period.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">For fans living in or staying in New York City, including all five boroughs, officials say they will have to use Penn Station for rail travel to the stadium on match days.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Fans with tickets can purchase timed tickets starting May 13. Tickets need to be purchased in advance on NJ Transit&#8217;s mobile app and will not be available on the day of the match at ticket offices or ticket machines.<\/p>\n<p>RAIL SERVICE<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">A valid FIFA World Cup 2026 match ticket will be required to purchase transportation and to access matchday services.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">It was previously announced that NJ Transit will <a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/abc7ny.com\/post\/nj-transit-announces-plans-close-section-penn-station-nyc-world-cup-bound-trains\/18866706\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">close its section of Penn Station<\/a> to all but World Cup-bound trains for four hours before matches at MetLife.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Officials confirmed Friday that starting four hours before kickoff, rail service between Penn Station in New York and Secaucus Junction will, in fact be limited to World Cup ticket holders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">In order to support high-capacity operations and ensure public safety, regular commuters not attending the match can use their rail ticket or pass, with New York as an origin or destination station, for alternate travel options available at no additional cost using PATH train service from the 33rd Street Station, as well as NJ TRANSIT bus service from Port Authority Bus Terminal.<\/p>\n<p>SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Bus shuttle tickets are now on sale and will provide direct, round-trip bus service to the stadium from key locations across New York and New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">From New York City, fans can ride from the Port Authority Bus Terminal or the Midtown East Shuttle pick-up, located east of Grand Central Station, directly to the stadium.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">In New Jersey, bus shuttle service will operate as a park-and-ride from the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, allowing fans to ride directly to the stadium.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">All stadium bus shuttle services will use a single, unified ticketing platform.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Nontransferable and nonrefundable round-trip bus tickets are available for purchase for $80 <a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/nynjfwc26.com\/getting-to-nynj-stadium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>PARKING<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">To reduce congestion and ensure safety, there will be no general spectator parking on stadium property on match days.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">A limited amount of premium parking will be offered at American Dream on matchdays by <a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/www.justpark.com\/us\/event-parking\/fifa-world-cup-2026\/new-york-new-jersey-stadium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">advance purchase only<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">Other World Cup host cities, including Los Angeles and Philadelphia, have pledged to keep their transit fares unchanged, noting that the U.S. government has provided some $100 million in transit grants to host cities to provide enhanced bus and rail service.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 WPVI-TV.
