Actress and singer Lea Michele<\/a>, who is currently starring in Chess<\/a> on Broadway, recently received her\u00a0iconic\u00a0caricature at Sardi\u2019s.\u00a0Michele<\/a>\u00a0will continue performances in\u00a0Chess<\/a>\u00a0until Sunday, June 21, 2026 at Broadway\u2019s Imperial Theatre. Lea Michele<\/a> is an award-winning actress, singer, and\u00a0New York Times\u00a0bestselling author, best known for her role as Rachel Berry on the series \u201cGlee.\u201d In 2010, she received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress \u2013 Television Comedy. That same year, she was recognized in TIME\u2019s 100 Most Influential People List for her performance.<\/p>\n

From September 2022 to September 2023, Michele took on her dream role, starring as Fanny Brice<\/a> in the Broadway revival of\u00a0Funny Girl. Her success in this role led to her inclusion in TIME\u2019s 100 list in 2023. Michele performed at the Time 100 Gala, the Macy\u2019s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the 2023 Tony Awards, where she performed \u201cDon\u2019t Rain on My Parade.\u201d\u00a0In October 2023, she made her Carnegie Hall<\/a> debut, selling out the Stern Auditorium\/Perelman Stage in New York City.<\/p>\n

Michele\u2019s Broadway journey began at age 8 as Young Cosette in\u00a0Les Mis\u00e9rables, followed by the original Broadway cast of\u00a0Ragtime. She later played Shprintze in the 20th\u00a0anniversary revival of\u00a0Fiddler on the Roof. Her performance as Wendla in the Tony Award-winning\u00a0Spring Awakening\u00a0earned her a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Musical. The show also received a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. In 2021, Michele reunited with her\u00a0Spring Awakening\u00a0cast for a special one-night-only concert, captured in the HBO documentary \u201cSpring Awakening: Those You\u2019ve Known.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other television and film credits include \u201cScream Queens,\u201d \u201cThe Mayor,\u201d\u00a0New Year\u2019s Eve,\u00a0Same Time, Next Christmas, and\u00a0Legends of Oz: Dorothy\u2019s Return. She has had the honor of performing at the White House for President <\/a>Barack Obama<\/a>, and took the stage at a major Democratic fundraiser attended by Presidents Joe Biden, Barack Obama<\/a>, and Bill Clinton<\/a>. Michele has also delivered a performance at the Super Bowl, released four albums, and embarked on international tours. In 2014, Michele became a bestselling author with her debut book,\u00a0Brunette Ambition, followed by\u00a0You First\u00a0in 2015.\u00a0<\/p>\n
