Whether subsequent owners touched any of it remains unknown.<\/p>\n<p>The address itself needs no introduction. Built around 1930 by James T. Lee, grandfather of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, 740 Park has long been the city\u2019s most coveted cooperative.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The duplex spans roughly 7,500 square feet with five bedrooms, three fireplaces and a grand staircase foyer. Even as demand for trophy co-ops softens citywide, this building holds its ground.<\/p>\n<p>Griffin\u2019s intentions for the latest acquisition are unclear. The Post has reached out for comment.<\/p>\n<p>The financier already owns an apartment at 220 Central Park South, widely regarded as the finest condominium tower in the city, for which he paid roughly $238 million \u2014 a national record \u2014 in 2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Beyond Manhattan, his property portfolio spans a $122 million London mansion steps from Buckingham Palace, an $84.45 million Hamptons compound, and a collection of residences across Miami Beach and Palm Beach, including <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/10\/18\/inside-ken-griffins-plans-to-build-a-1b-megalith-property\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the $1 billion home<\/a> dubbed the most expensive in the world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Call him the king of the block.
