Get a look at Roundabout Theatre Company<\/a>‘s Broadway revival of No\u00ebl Coward<\/a>‘s\u00a0Fallen Angels<\/a>, now at the Todd Haimes Theatre and set to officially open April 19, with newly released production photos in the gallery below. The limited engagement continues through June 7. Rose Byrne<\/a> and Kelli O’Hara<\/a> lead the cast.<\/p>\n

Fallen Angels follows two wealthy married women who, with husbands away, toast their pre-wedding loves\u2014who happen to be the same man, who’s on his way to visit. The work premiered in London in 1925, coming to Broadway in 1927. Early productions attracted the ire of censors, who objected to its shocking depiction of women acknowledging premarital sex.<\/p>\n

Starring Byrne (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You) as Jane Banbury and Tony winner O’Hara (The King and I<\/a>) as Julia Sterroll, the leading pair are joined by Tracee Chimo<\/a> (Noises Off) as Saunders, Mark Conseulos (Orphans<\/a>) as Maurice Duclos, Christopher Fitzgerald<\/a> (Waitress<\/a>) as Willy Banbury, and Aasif Mandvi<\/a> (The Daily Show) as Fred Sterroll. Casting is by Carrie Gardner<\/a>, Stephen Kopel<\/a>, and Jim Carnahan<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Understudies for the production include Tina Benko<\/a>, Christopher Innvar<\/a>, Max Gordon Moore<\/a>, and Laura Shoop<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Scott Ellis<\/a> (Art<\/a>) is directing the new staging, with scenic design by David Rockwell<\/a>, costume design by Jeff Mahshie<\/a>, lighting design by Kenneth Posner<\/a>, and sound design by John Gromada<\/a>. Hair and wig design for the production is by David Brian Brown<\/a> and Victoria Tinsman<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mary-Mitchell Campbell<\/a> is the production’s music consultant, Kate Wilson<\/a> is the voice coach, and additional material has been provided by Claudia Shear<\/a>. Larry Smiglewski<\/a> is the production stage manager, with production management by Aurora Productions<\/a>.
