Queen Mary<\/a> may be grieving the loss of her father, but she put on a brave face for her children, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine<\/a>, who were confirmed on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Stepping out at the Fredensborg Palace Church, the Queen of Denmark was all smiles as she escorted her 15-year-old twins into the church for a ceremony officiated by the Royal Confessor, Bishop Henrik Wigh-Poulsen.<\/p>\n

For her big day, Princess Josphine looked exceptional, wearing a long-sleeved ivory white confirmation gown by the royally-loved brand, Zimmermann. The picture of royal grace, Josephine donned a pearl crucifix and slipped on a pair of white pointed-toe sling-back heels.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As for her hair, the teen wore her brunette tresses in loose angelic waves, complete with twists on either side.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Queen Mary oozed royal style, wearing a navy blue ensemble by Claire Mischevani. The long-sleeved gown matched her striking headpiece, adding an elegant je nais se quoi to her look.<\/p>\n

Vincent and Josephine were also joined by their father, King Frederik, and elder siblings Crown Prince Christian and Princess Isabella.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Isabella looked equally as beautiful as her royal family members, choosing an elegant forest green-hued dress for the occasion.<\/p>\n

Growing up\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ahead of their special milestone, the palace shared a beautiful selection of photographs of the twins over the years.<\/p>\n

The snaps were shared alongside the words: “On the occasion of Their Royal Highnesses Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine’s confirmation on Saturday, April 18, she brings a digital photo album.”<\/p>\n

“Beautiful photos of the cutest twins!” one fan penned alongside a red love heart emoji. A second added: “Wishing you the most wonderful day tomorrow and huge congratulations to them.” Meanwhile, a third penned: “Lovely pictures, clearly remember the day they were born. Great job Queen Mary.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bittersweet timing<\/p>\n

The timing of the special moment for the young royals was bittersweet, as it came just under one week after Queen Mary’s father, academic John Dalgleish Donaldson, died at the age of 84<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Mary shared news of her fathers passing with a moving message, which translated to English read: “It is with great sorrow that Her Majesty, The Queen, announces that her father, Professor John Dalgleish Donaldson, has died in Hobart, Tasmania. He was 84 years.”<\/p>\n

Captioning a black and white photo of Professor Donaldson, which was captured by King Frederik’s wife on 23 March 2026, was a statement from Mary: “My heart is heavy, and my thoughts are grey. My beloved father has passed away.
