New York Giants<\/a> head coach John Harbaugh addressed the ongoing contract situation involving star nose tackle Dexter Lawrence amid reports of an impasse in extension talks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lawrence, who has two years remaining on the four-year, $90 million extension he signed in 2023, has requested a trade after negotiations stalled, with reports indicating he no longer wants to pursue a new deal with the team and believes his time in New York is over<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Harbaugh emphasized the organization’s commitment to finding a positive resolution.<\/p>\n

“We are working together to get the best outcome for the Giants team,” Harbaugh told Paul Schwartz of the New York Post<\/a>. “We also respect Dexter fully as a person and player and want him to be happy. We are doing everything we can. As best we can. As responsibly as we can.”<\/p>\n
