{"id":202027,"date":"2026-04-18T21:43:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-18T21:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/202027\/"},"modified":"2026-04-18T21:43:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-18T21:43:08","slug":"womens-lacrosse-honors-nine-seniors-against-siena","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/202027\/","title":{"rendered":"Women&#8217;s Lacrosse Honors Nine Seniors Against Siena"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>                    &#13;<br \/>\n                        &#13;<br \/>\n &#13;<\/p>\n<p>RIVERDALE, N.Y.\u00a0\u2013 The Manhattan Jaspers women&#8217;s lacrosse\u00a0team (3-14, 2-6\u00a0MAAC),\u00a0following a pregame ceremony honoring nine seniors,\u00a0fell in their final\u00a0game\u00a0against\u00a0the\u00a0Saints from Siena (10-6, 5-3\u00a0MAAC) by a final score of 19-4 at Gaelic Park on Saturday\u00a0afternoon.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/womens-lacrosse\/roster\/maya-metz\/12187\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12187\" target=\"_blank\">Maya Metz<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/womens-lacrosse\/roster\/naomi-aristone\/10187\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10187\" target=\"_blank\">Naomi Aristone<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/womens-lacrosse\/roster\/colleen-rattigan\/10243\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10243\" target=\"_blank\">Colleen Rattigan<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/womens-lacrosse\/roster\/catie-edson\/10195\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10195\" target=\"_blank\">Catie Edson<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/womens-lacrosse\/roster\/ellie-provda\/10211\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10211\" target=\"_blank\">Ellie Provda<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/womens-lacrosse\/roster\/brooke-leonard\/10233\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10233\" target=\"_blank\">Brooke Leonard<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/womens-lacrosse\/roster\/lauren-maher\/10235\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10235\" target=\"_blank\">Lauren Maher<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/womens-lacrosse\/roster\/julia-harvey\/12180\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12180\" target=\"_blank\">Julia Harvey<\/a>, and Sophia Pasnak were all honored for their careers as a Jasper pregame.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>HOW IT HAPPENED<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tSiena piled on the first three goals by the seven minute mark, each scored by a different visitor.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tGranted a free position opportunity, <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/womens-lacrosse\/roster\/ella-brunette\/12199\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12199\" target=\"_blank\">Ella Brunette<\/a> took advantage and put the Green and White on the board with just under six minutes to play in the first quarter.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe road team picked up two more before the end of the first 15 minutes, holding a four goal edge.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tAfter adding six to their first quarter total, Siena relinquished another score off a free position chance, this time coming off the stick of <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/womens-lacrosse\/roster\/lauren-maher\/10235\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10235\" target=\"_blank\">Lauren Maher<\/a> just before the halftime break.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tComing out of the locker room down by double digits, Brunette netted her second of the game 37 seconds into the start of the second half.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tOffense slowed in the third frame, with the Saints taking a 14-3 margin into the final 15 minutes.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFor the second straight quarter, Manhattan struck first to begin the fourth, as Maher also found her second of the afternoon.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Saints controlled the offensive zone for much of the fourth quarter, securing their fifth MAAC win.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>STATS AND NOTES<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tSenior attacker <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/womens-lacrosse\/roster\/lauren-maher\/10235\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10235\" target=\"_blank\">Lauren Maher<\/a> and Freshman midfielder <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/womens-lacrosse\/roster\/ella-brunette\/12199\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12199\" target=\"_blank\">Ella Brunette<\/a> each scored two of the Jaspers&#8217; four goals.
