The No. 2-seed Spurs will be nearly at full strength when they host seventh-seeded Portland on Sunday night in the opening game of a best-of-seven Western Conference first-round playoff series.<\/p>\n
Guard Jordan McLaughlin, who typically receives only spot minutes from coach Mitch Johnson, is out with a left ankle sprain, the Spurs announced Saturday.<\/p>\n
Guard Dylan Harper, a key reserve, wasn’t on the report after leaving last Sunday’s regular season finale against Denver in the third quarter with an injured left thumb. Harper was a full participant in practices Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. He wore a protective wrap on his shooting hand in Friday’s workout.<\/p>\n
Star center Victor Wembanyama (left rib cage soreness) and backup big man Luke Kornet (right shoulder soreness) are also healthy after sitting out the regular season finale.<\/p>\n
The Blazers also listed\u00a0only one player on their injury report: Guard Damian\u00a0Lillard, who missed the entire regular season with a torn left Achilles tendon sustained during the 2025 postseason when he was with Milwaukee.<\/p>\n
Portland coach Tiago Splitter has all but ruled out\u00a0Lillard for the playoffs.<\/p>\n
“I don\u2019t think so,” Splitter told reporters after Friday’s practice when asked about Lillard’s status. “He\u2019s had his head on next season. We\u2019ve got to be serious about it.<\/p>\n
