After months of whispers, headlines, and some very public side-eyes, Victoria Beckham is finally saying something about that family situation.<\/p>\n
In a new interview with The Wall Street Journal, she addressed the ongoing distance with son Brooklyn Beckham \u2013 but do not expect a dramatic tell-all.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think that we\u2019ve always \u2014 we love our children so much,\u201d she said. \u201cWe\u2019ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be\u2026 all we\u2019ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that\u2019s all I really want to say about it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Translation? She\u2019s keeping it classy \u2013 and brief.<\/p>\n
For context, Brooklyn has been largely estranged from the Beckham family for about three years and has not exactly been subtle about it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Earlier this year, he claimed he does \u201cnot want to reconcile with my family,\u201d accusing his parents, including David Beckham, of pushing \u201ccountless lies\u201d and interfering in his marriage to Nicola Peltz.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the rest of the Beckham kids \u2013 Romeo Beckham, Cruz Beckham, and Harper Beckham \u2013 have stayed out of the drama (or at least, off Instagram about it).<\/p>\n
Victoria, though, seems focused elsewhere: her fashion empire. And despite headlines? Business is booming.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think that ultimately people are buying my product because the product is really good,\u201d she said. \u201cI don\u2019t think they\u2019re buying my eyeliner just because it\u2019s me.\u201d<\/p>\n
