{"id":202617,"date":"2026-04-19T15:43:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-19T15:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/202617\/"},"modified":"2026-04-19T15:43:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-19T15:43:08","slug":"news-12-brooklyn-mother-daughter-arrested-in-attempted-robbery-at-manhasset-macys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/202617\/","title":{"rendered":"News 12 | Brooklyn | Mother Daughter Arrested In Attempted Robbery At Manhasset Macys"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">A mother and daughter were arrested Saturday for an attempted robbery at Macy\u2019s in Manhasset.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Diane Butrico and Jaclyn Grillo, both of Queens, entered the Macy\u2019s on Northern Boulevard, selected various items, and concealed them in a reusable bag, according to police.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Butrico, 60, and Grillo, 21, attempted to leave the store without paying when security workers stopped them.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Grillo threatened a security employee who confronted her and shoved him to the ground, injuring his arm, authorities said. <\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Grillo is charged with second-degree robbery and assault on a retail worker.
