Video of the incident \u2013 which sources believe may have been gang-related \u2013 posted by former Mayor Eric Adams shows the youth being pummeled by a gang of kids, before a depraved shooter wearing a gray hoodie and gray pants pulls out a gun and blasts Jaden in the chest.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cMy son was shot in the chest. My family, my community, everybody is devastated,\u201d Weston told the Daily News.<\/p>\n
The young man\u2019s mom told the outlet that her son had asked his father if he could go to the park to play basketball that afternoon \u2013 not revealing that he was really going to participate in a water balloon fight organized on social media.\u00a0<\/p>\n
