This week, we are putting the spotlight on some opportunities in the Hudson Valley. Earth Day Volunteers

Celebrate Earth Day by giving back to the community and caring for the planet with the Boys and Girls Club of Mount Vernon! Enthusiastic volunteers are needed to help bring this family-friendly event to life by assisting with setup and cleanup, children’s activities and crafts, and distributing snacks and other goodies to guests. Perfect for teens 14+ who need community service. Spring Community Cleanups

At this town-wide cleanup, volunteers will pick up trash and debris, as well as plant flowers and cherry trees. Then, volunteers are invited to the Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library for an educational webinar, refreshments, and a raffle for cleanup participants. Registration required. Volunteer New York! signature event

New Rochelle Parks Clean-Up WeekendDuring this annual event, volunteers are encouraged to join their neighbors with preparing the City of New Rochelle’s parks for warmer weather. Activities include debris pick-up, trail and path clearing, weeding, and more. This is a great project for groups and families. 10th Anniversary Birthday Bash Face Painters
