STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 The Michelin Guide announced new additions to its New York restaurant selections on Tuesday, naming five Brooklyn establishments and four Manhattan venues to its recommended list. No Staten Island restaurants were added in this round<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The full 2026 Michelin Guide will be revealed at a ceremony later this year. Tuesday\u2019s announcement focused specifically on new additions to the guide\u2019s recommended category.<\/p>\n

The nine restaurants immediately join the guide as recommended selections and are marked with a \u201cNew\u201d symbol on guide.michelin.com<\/a> and the Michelin Guide mobile app. In the coming months, some could go on to earn Bib Gourmand distinctions or Michelin stars during the guide\u2019s annual awards ceremony.<\/p>\n

While Staten Island received no new additions this cycle, the borough maintains three Michelin\u2011recognized restaurants in the 2025 guide. Two hold Bib Gourmand honors, and two are listed as selected restaurants for good cooking. Staten Island\u2019s currently recognized establishments include Enoteca Maria, Lakruwana and Seppe.<\/p>\n

Sagara Food City in Tompkinsville, previously listed in the guide, lost its Michelin recognition following a change in ownership and a temporary closure during the transition.<\/p>\n

The Bib Gourmand designation, introduced in 1997, recognizes restaurants serving high\u2011quality food at moderate prices and operates separately from Michelin\u2019s star system, which awards up to three stars for culinary excellence. Michelin inspectors typically add new restaurants to the guide twice a year, highlighting noteworthy discoveries ahead of the annual Bib Gourmand and star announcements.<\/p>\n

Brooklyn\u2019s additions span multiple neighborhoods, from Clinton Hill\u2019s Entre Nous, a cozy wine bar anchored by a copper\u2011and\u2011cherrywood bar and a natural\u2011wine program, to Fort Greene\u2019s Los Burritos Ju\u00e1rez, which spotlights border\u2011style burritos inspired by El Paso and Ciudad Ju\u00e1rez. In Crown Heights, Bong has quickly become a go\u2011to for Cambodian small plates \u2014 if you can get in \u2014 while Park Slope\u2019s Vato, from the team behind Michelin\u2011starred Corima, operates as a daytime tortilleria focused on house\u2011made flour tortillas. In Williamsburg, I Cavallini sits across from sibling restaurant The Four Horsemen, offering an Italian menu rooted in tradition.<\/p>\n

Manhattan\u2019s additions include West Village French newcomer Le Ch\u00eane, Hwaro \u2014 an intimate 22\u2011seat Korean\u2011French counter inside Gui \u2014 chef Juan Manuel Barrientos\u2019 Elcielo New York in NoMad, and chef Flynn McGarry\u2019s Cove in Hudson Square.<\/p>\n

\"Lakruwana\"Lakruwana in Stapleton serves lamprais, a traditional one\u2011pot dish of Dutch colonial origin.
