Queen Mary\u2019s version is slightly smaller, featuring 47 tapering bars of brilliant-cut and rose-cut diamonds alternating with lozenge-set diamond spikes. The tiara can also be detached from its frame and worn as a necklace.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Queen Mary gave the tiara to her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth (the future Queen Mother) in 1937, who lent it to her daughter Princess Elizabeth (seen in the photo) for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.townandcountrymag.com\/leisure\/arts-and-culture\/news\/a8451\/queen-elizabeth-prince-philip-wedding\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.townandcountrymag.com\/leisure\/arts-and-culture\/news\/a8451\/queen-elizabeth-prince-philip-wedding\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"her wedding to Prince Philip in November 1947\" class=\"body-link css-wwtvcb emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">her wedding to Prince Philip in November 1947<\/a>.
