Sentenced on April 8 to 15 years in a federal prison for her role in the 2023 fatal overdose of Matthew Perry<\/a>, Jasveen Sangha says she\u2019s a changed person. \u201cI take full responsibility for my actions and the role I played in the events that led to this tragedy,\u201d the so-called \u201cKetamine Queen\u201d told The U.S. Sun<\/a>. \u201cThere are no excuses for what I did. I am deeply sorry for the pain I caused, especially to Matthew\u2019s family.\u201d<\/p>\n

In September, the 42-year-old pleaded guilty to five counts in L.A., including distributing ketamine \u2014 a dissociative anesthetic and controlled substance \u2014 resulting in death or bodily injury. According to prosecutors, she had been selling drugs for years out of her North Hollywood apartment and counted the Friends star, who was found dead in his jacuzzi<\/a> at his Pacific Palisades home on Oct. 28, 2023, as a customer. (His death was attributed to acute effects of ketamine.) \u201cI can\u2019t undo the past,\u201d Jasveen said. \u201cBut I can now respect the law.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey believe they\u2019ve saved some lives by being part of the investigation,\u201d adds the insider, noting that the family intends to continue to support people dealing with addiction issues through the Matthew Perry Foundation. \u201cMatthew\u2019s mother, in particular, is determined to make sure that Matthew\u2019s death means something a lot bigger than just some actor who died because of a drug problem.\u201d<\/p>\n
