After a successful first run in December, the Jersey City Public Library is going after-hours and bringing back its \u201cRave at the Library Event\u201d in collaboration with Jersey City Night Market.\u00a0 In true Night at the Museum fashion, the library will transform into a four-floor nightlife destination for guests 21+ with drinks, DJs, interactive experiences, and more. Rave at the Library returns on Saturday, May 23rd from 7PM \u2013 11PM at 472 Jersey Avenue in Jersey City.\u00a0Read on for more information about Jersey City Public Library\u2019s upcoming rave.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

Not-So-Quiet Hours<\/p>\n

The Rave at the Library is advertised as a return to 2010s nightclub culture, with a designated 90s\/Y2K nostalgia<\/a> floor, a VIP floor for library cardholders, a 201 Social Lounge with trivia, and a \u201cChoose Your Own Adventure\u201d dance floor. The 90s\/Y2K-themed floor will also feature a Scholastic Book Fair-inspired throwback activation. The Choose Your Own Adventure floor will host salsa lessons and Latin Music in the Biblioteca Criolla and a hip-hop\/ Top 40 dance floor in the multipurpose room.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

Event tickets are priced at $25, and Jersey City residents will be able to get a free library card at the event. Per the JCFPL press release from December, \u201cCardholders unlock access to the \u2018Restricted Section,\u2019 free photo activations, exclusive merchandise, and additional perks designed to highlight the value of library membership. The goal is to spark library<\/a> card sign-ups, especially among millennials and Gen Z, while raising funds to support programs and services.\u201d The nightlife event is in partnership with the Jersey City Night Market.\u00a0<\/p>\n
