Charles Sykes\/Invision\/AP<\/p>\n<p>Stars including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vogue.com\/article\/sienna-miller-schiaparelli-vogue-world-2023-london\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sienna Miller<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/05\/05\/entertainment\/rihanna-debuts-baby-bump-on-met-gala-2025-red-carpet\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rihanna<\/a> have embraced their pregnant bodies in high-profile moments, turning their pending motherhood into fashion statements.<\/p>\n<p>Curator Andrew Bolton told the AP the intention was \u201cto challenge a history of museum mannequin display that\u2019s very much characterized by thin, abled and standardized bodies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sienna Miller in pregnancy couture at Vogue World in London in September 2023. They include artist Michaela Stark and Sin\u00e9ad Burke, an Irish disability activist with dwarfism who was featured on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/style\/article\/british-vogue-disabled-cover-stars-sinead-burke\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">cover<\/a> of British Vogue in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Also included are athlete Aimee Mullins, who wears prosthetic lower legs, Aariana Rose Philip, a musician and model who uses a wheelchair, and French singer-songwriter and plus-size model Yseult.<\/p>\n<p>Besides their shape, the faces of the mannequins are polished in reflective steel so visitors can see themselves, which\u00a0organizers said is to be a deliberate attempt to help the viewer identify with the model.<\/p>\n<p>A Burberry ensemble by Christopher Bailey made for model Sin\u00e9ad Burke, shown on a Burke-sized mannequin.
