<\/p>\nQueen Creek police are investigating a student’s claim of being threatened with a gun off-campus, prompting a school lockdown for safety.<\/p>\n
QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. \u2014 Queen Creek police said Monday they are investigating an off-campus incident involving a student and a suspect with a gun.<\/p>\n
According to Queen Creek police, a student from Queen Creek Junior High School said an individual threatened him with a gun near the school.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The incident did not occur on campus, police said, but the school was placed on lockdown as a precaution.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police said there’s no evidence of a crime or a credible threat. The lockdown has since been lifted.<\/p>\n
Authorities asked parents not to come to campus. The investigation is ongoing and there is no active threat to the community.<\/p>\n
