Meghan Markle<\/a> was criticised for releasing two new candles linked<\/a> to her children, Prince Archie<\/a> and Princess Lilibet<\/a>, just hours before what would have been Queen Elizabeth\u2019s 100th birthday. The late Queen died peacefully at her Balmoral home aged 96 on September 8, 2022, after serving as sovereign for 70 years.<\/p>\n

She would have turned 100 today, April 21, with the King releasing an emotional message for his \u201cdarling Mama\u201d to mark the centenary of her birth. The royals will carry out various engagements today to celebrate Elizabeth\u2019s centenary.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex announced two new candles this week<\/a>, ahead of Mother\u2019s Day in the US, which is celebrated on May 10.<\/p>\n

The two new candles, which will be released on April 22, are a sweet tribute to her two children, Archie and Lilibet.<\/p>\n

A message on the As Ever Instagram<\/a> page read: \u201cIntroducing two new candles beautifully crafted by our founder and named in honour of her children\u2019s birthdates.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo. 604 named for Princess Lilibet\u2019s birthdate, is floral and radiant with notes of amber, water lily, and santal.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo.506, named for Prince Archie\u2019s birthdate, is warm and grounding with notes of ginger, neroli, and cashmere.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans were not impressed with Meghan\u2019s move on such a crucial week for the Royal Family and took to social media to express their views.<\/p>\n

One user wrote on Reddit<\/a>: \u201cAs ever, merching the kiddos on the late Queen’s 100th birthday. Utterly disgusting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another one agreed: \u201cIt is 100% about trolling the [Royal Family] on [the late Queen\u2019s] 100th birthday. She doesn\u2019t care if she sells a single candle.\u201d<\/p>\n

A third one blasted: \u201cRemove the titles and let’s see how she promotes her products after the titles are removed.\u201d<\/p>\n

A fourth one added: \u201cThis is the absolute breaking point. Enough is enough. Seeing Lilibet on her As Ever BS on the Queen\u2019s birthday?!?!?!\u201d<\/p>\n

Others loved Meghan\u2019s latest offering, with one fan writing on : \u201cNice to see Meghan announcing new products releasing on April 22 ahead of Mother\u2019s day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another one commented: \u201cI\u2019m so excited for this!! Can\u2019t wait to get my candles, matchbox, & chocolate.\u201d<\/p>\n
