According to insiders, the decision is largely tied to Mamdani\u2019s democratic socialist platform, which prioritizes avoiding high-society events that symbolize the kind of wealth concentration he often critiques. By declining the invitation, the 34-year-old<\/a> is also steering clear of a star-studded, billionaire-heavy evening built around luxury and exclusivity.<\/p>\n

The 2026 event, themed \u201cFashion is Art\u201d and set for May 4, also includes backing from Saint Laurent and Cond\u00e9 Nast.<\/p>\n
