ST. GEORGE, Utah \u2014 The transgender lover of Charlie Kirk\u2019s alleged killer has seemingly vanished from his hometown six weeks after the political assassination that shook the country.<\/p>\n
Lance Twiggs, 22, has been on the down-low since his boyfriend Tyler Robinson allegedly shot the Turning Point USA co-founder dead and then sent Twiggs a string of text messages confessing to the slaying, according to feds.<\/p>\n
Twiggs has steered clear of his $1,800-per-month <\/a>love nest on the outskirts of the isolated desert oasis of St. George.<\/p>\n Lance Twiggs, live-in partner of Charlie Kirk assassination suspect Tyler Robinson. Lance Twiggs\/ TikTok<\/p>\n Authorities previously said that he is cooperating with authorities, but Twiggs has refused to speak with media while Robinson awaits trial in a Salt Lake City jail cell.<\/p>\n Robinson made a brief court appearance on Monday, where he mounted the legal argument that fellow accused political assassin Luigi Mangione<\/a> used in his case. <\/p>\n The Utah native asked that he be allowed to wear civilian clothes in future appearances, arguing that a jail jumpsuit could prejudice the jury pool against him. He also asked to appear in court without shackles.<\/p>\n The judge granted him the first request, but denied the second, in a partial win for Robinson. David Buchan for New York Post<\/p>\n Robinson is set to appear again on Jan. 16, and his arraignment has been set for Jan. 30.<\/p>\n Robinson and Twiggs \u2014 whom authorities are referring to with masculine pronouns \u2014 moved in together some time after the latter\u2019s devout Mormon parents booted him from their home in 2018.<\/p>\n They may have since reconciled: Twiggs\u2019 Venmo account shows several payments from his parents over the past two years with descriptions including \u201cprescriptions\u201d and \u201cgas money.\u201d<\/p>\n The latest payment from his dad occurred just a few months before Kirk was shot.<\/p>\n Lance Twiggs has seemingly vanished since Kirk\u2019s killing and Robinson\u2019s apparent confession. Amy Twiggs\/Facebook<\/p>\n It is unclear whether Twiggs is living with his parents or is even still in St. George <\/a>\u2014 four hours from Utah Valley University, where Charlie Kirk was killed.<\/p>\n Twiggs\u2019 car, an Inifinii FX35, is now parked in his parents\u2019 driveway<\/a>.<\/p>\n Jesse Riley, who lives just a few houses down from Twiggs\u2019 and Robinson\u2019s apartment, said he couldn\u2019t recall seeing any activity from the property since Robinson, also 22, turned himself over to the cops.<\/p>\n \u201cIt definitely is a shock it happened here. It\u2019s a quiet neighborhood. Office of the Governor of Utah via Getty Images<\/p>\n Twiggs had a fraught relationship with his strict Mormon parents, but the reasons why are disputed.<\/p>\n A family member told Fox News<\/a> Twiggs \u201cwasn\u2019t being respectful and was problematic,\u201d used drugs, and was addicted to online gaming.<\/p>\n But others close to Twiggs tell a different story. <\/p>\n Members of the Nielsen family \u2014 who gave Twiggs a place to crash after he got kicked out \u2014 described the then-teen as a good kid who studied hard and cared about his friends.<\/p>\n Stay up to date on the shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk<\/p>\n \u201cI loved Lance. His parents kicked him out of his house, and he lived with us. His parents never sat right with my family,\u201d said Braylon Nielsen, 19, whose brothers were close with Twiggs and members of a group chat with him as well as Tyler Robinson.<\/p>\n \u201cHe had straight As. He was very hardworking, not a big partier [\u2026] He just took care of people,\u201d Nielsen added.<\/p>\n Twiggs\u2019 former teachers seemed to agree: \u201cEverything I\u2019ve heard about him, he was a great kid. He was nice. He worked hard,\u201d Ben Kaufman, superintendent of Twiggs\u2019 high school, told The Post. \u201cI heard all good things.\u201d<\/p>\n Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University shortly before he was slain.
