A man died early Tuesday after he tumbled from a Queens subway platform and was struck by an oncoming No. 7 train, police<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

The unidentified victim was waiting at the Junction Blvd. stop at Roosevelt Ave.<\/a> in Jackson Heights at about 7:10 a.m. when witnesses saw him nearing the lip of the platform.<\/p>\n

The man fell onto the tracks, just as a Manhattan-bound No. 7 train entered the station.<\/p>\n

He was struck by the oncoming train and died at the scene, cops said. His name was not immediately released as cops tracked down relatives.<\/p>\n

Witnesses said the victim didn\u2019t jump and wasn\u2019t pushed onto the tracks. It wasn\u2019t immediately clear what caused his fall.<\/p>\n

No. 7 train service<\/a> was shut down between the Flushing-Main St. and 33 St.-Rawson St. stops as police investigated the incident.<\/p>\n

In a separate, unrelated incident, a man fell onto the tracks along the No. 5 express line at the 86th St. station<\/a> near Lexington Ave. at about 8 a.m., but he managed to get back onto the platform before a train arrived.<\/p>\n
