{"id":204828,"date":"2026-04-21T16:04:38","date_gmt":"2026-04-21T16:04:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/204828\/"},"modified":"2026-04-21T16:04:38","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T16:04:38","slug":"brooklyn-heights-police-asking-for-camera-footage-after-car-break-ins-pursuit-with-suspect","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/204828\/","title":{"rendered":"Brooklyn Heights Police asking for camera footage after car break ins, pursuit with suspect"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, Ohio (WOIO) &#8211; The Brooklyn Heights Police Department is asking residents to share security camera footage after reports of car break-ins and a pursuit of a suspect early Tuesday morning. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Early Tuesday morning, Brooklyn Heights Police officers were in the area of East Schaff Road looking into reports of car break-ins. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to a police department Facebook post, at around 2:45 a.m., officers in the area were investigating a disabled stolen car out of Cleveland. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Police said that during the investigation, a suspect fled through the area on foot, and officers deployed a K-9, but did not catch the suspect. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Brooklyn Heights Police Department is asking residents to check their vehicles and report any suspicious activity or signs of entry immediately. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Anyone who lives in the area of East Schaff Road and Marko Lane and has camera footage from between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. should check their cameras and report any suspicious activity to the police. <\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WOIO.
