\n\tKate Middleton<\/a> evoked springtime tones in Emilia Wickstead<\/a> as she joined other prominent members of the British royal family on Tuesday for a reception at Buckingham Palace in London to honor and commemorate what would have been Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s 100th birthday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Princess of Wales wore a long-sleeve, lilac midi dress by the London-based designer. The look was created with a streamlined frame and three-quarter-length sleeves. A rounded neckline gave the midi dress a simple but elegant touch, with a silhouette that included a fitted bodice, defined waist and flowing skirt for added movement.<\/p>\n

\n\tMiddleton added a pair of Ralph Lauren pumps in a shade of muted gold, further augmenting the springtime tonal scheme of her attire. As for jewelry, Middleton deviated from designer pieces and opted instead for sentimental touches. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe Princess of Wales wore both a three strand pearl necklace and the Bahrain pearl drop earrings that previously belonged to Queen Elizabeth II<\/a>. The two pieces complemented the spring-oriented style of Middleton\u2019s sartorial statement, and also merged a nostalgic element that\u2019s featured throughout several of the Princess of Wales\u2019 looks through the years.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Bahrain pearl drop earrings, for instance, have been worn by Middleton in the past. The Princess of Wales previously wore the earrings to Holocaust Remembrance Day services<\/a> in January 2025. She also wore the earrings to Queen Elizabeth II<\/a>\u2019s funeral in 2022.<\/p>\n

\n\tQueen Elizabeth II\u2019s Bahrain pearl drop earrings were a gift the late monarch received around the time of her marriage to Prince Philip in 1947. Much like Middleton tends to do with her favorite pieces of jewelry, Queen Elizabeth II regularly wore the Bahrain pearl drop earrings for special royal engagements and outings throughout the early years of her reign. They\u2019ve since become an integral piece of the Princess of Wales\u2019 jewelry rotation. <\/p>\n
