{"id":205093,"date":"2026-04-21T19:45:06","date_gmt":"2026-04-21T19:45:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/205093\/"},"modified":"2026-04-21T19:45:06","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T19:45:06","slug":"news-12-bronx-1-dead-another-injured-in-co-op-city-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/205093\/","title":{"rendered":"News 12 | Bronx | 1 Dead Another Injured In Co Op City Crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">A woman is dead after a driver crashed into a bus stop in Co-op on Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">It happened at the intersection of Bartow Avenue and Co-op City Boulevard just after 1:30 p.m. <\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Investigators say a 55-year-old man driving a 2018 Mazda CX-5 was traveling northbound on Bartow Avenue when he lost control of his car. <\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The man crashed into a nearby bus bench, where a 72-year-old woman and 36-year-old man were sitting. <\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The 72-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene. The 36-year-old man was taken to Jacobi Hospital and is expected to be OK. <\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The driver of the car was also taken to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A woman is dead after a driver crashed into a bus stop in Co-op on Tuesday.
