BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) \u2014 Mini elephant toys will soon drop from the sky<\/a> in New York City.<\/p>\n

The annual Dumbo Drop<\/a> returns on May 29, featuring two parachute drops at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., with thousands of toy elephants expected to float down from rooftops surrounding Washington Street.<\/p>\n

Viewing tickets can be purchased online.<\/a> Proceeds from the drop benefit Dumbo\u2019s Title I public schools, PS 307 Elementary and The Dock Street Middle School.<\/p>\n

Each year, the elephants feature a parachute designed by a neighborhood artist. This year, organizers said the design will be done by Christian Vera.<\/p>\n
