The Baruch College men’s tennis team capped off a perfect CUNYAC regular season schedule (6-0) on Tuesday afternoon, rolling past Brooklyn College with a commanding 7-0 victory in a\u00a0matchup on a sunny day in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n
With the sweep, the Bearcats secured their 19th all-time CUNYAC Regular Season Championship, earning first place in the conference standings and the top seed in the upcoming CUNYAC Championship Tournament. The postseason tournament is scheduled to begin Sunday, April 26, at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Queens, with additional tournament details to be announced in the coming days.<\/p>\n
The visiting Bearcats set the tone early in doubles play, where all three Bearcat pairings cruised to identical 6-0 victories. The top duo of Juan Mendoza<\/a> and Philipp Roeder<\/a> led the way at No. 1 doubles, displaying crisp teamwork and control from start to finish. Their dominant performance helped the Bearcats quickly jump out to a 1-0 overall lead in the intercollegiate format (best of 3 doubles).<\/p>\n Carrying that strong momentum into singles action, the Bearcats continued their dominance, winning all six singles matches without dropping a point on the scoreboard. At No. 2 singles, Sam Park delivered one of the day’s most impressive performances, earning a flawless 6-0, 6-0 victory. Juan Paredes<\/a> followed suit at No. 3 singles, powering past his opponent 6-1, 6-0.<\/p>\n
