Victoria Beckham<\/a> still hasn\u2019t mended her rift with her and David Beckham<\/a>\u2019s son, Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

The former Spice Girl addressed their estranged relationship for the first time in an interview<\/a> with the Wall Street Journal published on Thursday (April 16).<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that we\u2019ve always\u2014we love our children so much,\u201d Beckham said when asked about Brooklyn, though she didn\u2019t directly say his name. \u201cWe\u2019ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be.\u201d<\/p>\n

The celebrity couple shares four children: 27-year-old Brooklyn, 23-year-old Romeo, 21-year-old Cruz, and 14-year-old Harper.<\/p>\n

Victoria Beckham continued, \u201cAnd you know, we\u2019ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we\u2019ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that\u2019s all I really want to say about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing a parent of young adult children and adult children, gosh, I mean, it\u2019s very different from having little children,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Brooklyn Beckham reportedly broke away from the family after marrying his wife, 31-year-old actress and model Nicola Peltz, in 2022.<\/p>\n

In January, he slammed his parents<\/a>, accusing them of trying to \u201cruin\u201d his marriage, adding that he does not want to “reconcile.\u201d<\/p>\n

“I’m not being controlled. I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life,” he wrote on Instagram. “For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events, and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.\u201d<\/p>\n

David Beckham later responded to his son\u2019s rant<\/a> during a CNBC panel discussion.<\/p>\n

\u201cChildren are allowed to make mistakes\u2014that\u2019s how they learn,\u201d the former soccer star said. \u201cThat\u2019s what I try to teach my kids. But you know, you have to sometimes let them make those mistakes as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
