Although many members of the royal family were out at Buckingham Palace to mark the late Queen’s centenary<\/a>, one of the more notable absences was Princess Eugenie<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Eugenie<\/a>, 36, has been mostly absent from the royal fold since her parents were further implicated in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor<\/a> being stripped of all of his titles.<\/p>\n

So while Eugenie and her older sister Princess Beatrice’s<\/a> absence from the event wasn’t unexpected, Eugenie did make a surprising move when she failed to reference the event anywhere on her social media pages.<\/p>\n

The royal, whose last Instagram post was on 14 November 2025, didn’t share any tributes to her late grandmother<\/a> on her Instagram Stories or with a grid post, instead opting to remain entirely silent.<\/p>\n

The move is out of character for the youngest daughter of Andrew and Sarah Ferguson<\/a>, who would regularly share posts honouring the late monarch’s legacy.<\/p>\n

Back in 2023, Eugenie shared a stunning photo<\/a> of herself sitting with the late Queen on a bench to mark the one-year anniversary of her passing. “Thinking of you today,” the mother-of-two wrote in the caption.<\/p>\n

“Missing you so much but remembering what a life of service, love and dedication to everyone and to your family, who loved you so very much. Forever grateful to you. And always in my heart.”<\/p>\n

Eugenie also shared a post to mark her first Christmas without her grandmother<\/a>, with a photo of herself and husband Jack Brooksbank at the Princess of Wales’ carol concert, which paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.<\/p>\n

Eugenie would often pay tribute to her late grandmother<\/p>\n

She said: “It was an honour to celebrate HM’s life at the Princess of Wales carol concert, Together at Christmas. @princeandprincessofwales #togetheratchristmas.”<\/p>\n

Eugenie’s place in the monarchy<\/p>\n

Despite Eugenie not making a tribute, she still remains within the monarchy, and is unlikely to lose her place, as sources have previously confirmed to HELLO! that she and Beatrice aren’t being held responsible for their parents’ actions.<\/p>\n

Royal biographer Robert Jobson previously wrote<\/a> for HELLO!: “William is not interested in reopening old wounds. His focus is forward; and forward includes the York sisters.<\/p>\n
