Now serving ice cream from noon to midnight every day, the reopening comes months after the shop\u2019s larger Greenwich Village flagship shuttered in October 2025, ending an 11-year run that helped cement Morgenstern\u2019s as an institution. Now, the brand appears to be refocusing its energy in a smaller, more tightly curated space.<\/p>\n
The Rivington Street shop has technically been in the mix all along as the home of Morgenstern\u2019s Bananas, the soft-serve offshoot that kept the brand alive post-closure. But this reopening is a return to the full Morgenstern\u2019s identity, built on its signature, texture-driven ice creams and a menu that balances nostalgic classics with the kind of curveball flavors that made it famous.<\/p>\n
That approach always set Morgenstern\u2019s apart\u00a0amidst a city of gelato and maximalist soft-serves.\u00a0And the latest incarnation doesn’t shy away from flavor, offering new options including cherry vanilla and caramelized creme fraiche.
