The state Senate voted last night to approve sweeping regulations on AI chatbots such as ChatGPT and Gemini.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Under the bill, companies operating these platforms would be required to make \u201creasonable efforts\u201d to detect when users may be considering suicide or other forms of self-harm.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">\u201cThis is an example of where \u2018Move fast and break things,\u2019 which is the Big Tech mantra, has had real-life implications on real people,\u201d said state Sen.
