Murtagh started in 51 of her 62 games as a freshman and sophomore at Williston State, averaging 15.7 points on a nightly basis along with 170 assists, 147 steals, and over 300 rebounds. In the season finale of her first year for the Tetons, she posted 30 points on 10-for-18 shooting including four-for-ten beyond the arc. She recorded a double-double in that contest, bringing down 10 rebounds and added three steals.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“She is a proven winner who knows how to elevate a program, going 56-10 across two seasons and a trip to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament this past season,” added Vulin.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Australian native expanded upon her stellar freshman season, increasing her scoring average from 13.1 to 18.1 while knocking down an extra 30 shots (93) from three-point range. She was able to string together two more 30+ point performances, setting a new career-mark of 34 against Briercrest College, shooting 12-for-22 from the field and connecting on eight shots from deep, another career-best.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In back-to-back games at North Idaho College and South Mountain Community College, Murtagh tallied 11 rebounds followed by seven steals, establishing her threat level on the defensive end.\u00a0<\/p>\n
