The questions come with the NFL draft\u2019s first round set to take place in Pittsburgh on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Beck is coming off a season in which he threw for 3,813 yards and 30 touchdowns while helping Miami reach the national championship game.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But some NFL personnel seem to have questions regarding the prospect.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s talented enough, smooth, on time, sees it well, he\u2019s smart \u2014 probably the smartest kid in the class,\u201d one NFC coordinator told Breer. \u201cBut the personality is tough. I wouldn\u2019t touch him.\u201d<\/p>\n
While the coordinator mentioned Beck\u2019s persona, he said QB did have a \u201creally good year.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cBig kid, very smart, another guy that\u2019s well prepared from the neck up,\u201d he added. \u201cHe has a big enough arm. He\u2019s a marginal athlete, but I think he\u2019s got the ability to navigate the pocket, does a good job of mitigating bad plays, and his sack avoidance is good \u2014 the sacks he takes are minimized. He just plays within himself. He was asked to do more at Georgia, but he\u2019s capable of all that stuff, as far as controlling what\u2019s out there.<\/p>\n

\u201cFloor is a good backup, and I would be surprised if he\u2019s a low-end starter.\u201d<\/p>\n
Beck could very well be the third quarterback taken in the upcoming draft, and he reportedly met with several teams, including the Jets and Dolphins.\u00a0<\/p>\n
