HAMDEN, CT \u2013 The Manhattan Jaspers Men’s Lacrosse team (4-10, 2-6 MAAC) put together an emotional double overtime victory over the Bobcats of Quinnipiac University (5-9, 4-4 MAAC) by a score of 10-9 inside the Quinnipiac Soccer and Lacrosse Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n

\n\tSeeking a victory to close out the campaign with back-to-back victories, were the Jaspers on the road against the Bobcats, who already etched their spot in the postseason.
\n\tAfter Quinnipiac struck first just 42 seconds into the contest, the Green and White found a way. They kept pushing before posting three unanswered goals within the next 12 minutes of the first stanza, courtesy of Connor White<\/a>, Liam Peabody<\/a>, and Nick Henry<\/a>.
\n\tDown the stretch of the first, both teams exchanged goals with the Bobcats grabbing two of the next three.
\n\tIn the second quarter, the Jaspers continued to push the pace against Quinnipiac and found the back of the net three times with Aiden Kane<\/a>, Tyler Mosca<\/a>, and Connor White<\/a> all tallying a marker, and taking a four-goal lead to the locker room.
\n\tTrailing by as much as four, despite a wave of Manhattan attempts that were all turned aside, the Bobcats came roaring back with four unanswered goals heading to the fourth quarter tied at seven.
\n\tManhattan surrendered six straight goals before Jack Miller<\/a> stopped the bleeding to make it a one-goal deficit.
\n\tComing off an extra man opportunity for the Green and White, followed by a Quinnipiac turnover with two seconds remaining down the stretch, Nick Henry<\/a> put home the equalizer to knot the game at nine, and force overtime.
\n\tIn the first overtime period, the Jaspers put together three attempts, with one by Peabody, hitting the post with less than a minute to go. The Green and White controlled the first period with two shots, holding the Bobcats to a lone ground ball scoop.
\n\tSince 65 minutes was not enough, the Jaspers continued to keep their foot on the gas with two attempts from Sean Shelko<\/a> and Thomas White<\/a>, before Liam Peabody<\/a> buried the game-winner home just a minute and a half into the second overtime, and ended the season with a victory.

\n\tLiam Peabody<\/a> netted the final goal of the campaign to total two on the day, with one assist, six shots, and three on target.
\n\tNick Henry<\/a> paced the Jaspers with three goals and one assist on eight shots, with five on target. Henry also picked up two ground balls in the effort at Quinnipiac.
\n\tCasey Klossner<\/a> converted 15-of-20 in the face-off X, while scooping a game-high nine groundballs.
\n\tThomas White<\/a> registered a team-high nine shots, with two on target, and grabbed one ground ball.
\n\tJack Miller<\/a> recorded one goal and one assist with five shots and four on target.
\n\tTyler Mosca<\/a> netted one goal on five shots, three on target, while picking up four ground balls.
\n\tAidan Kane scored one goal, assisted on two, with eight shots, four shots on goal, and picked up three ground balls.
\n\tRyan Beller<\/a> recorded his third victory of the year and logged 13 saves on 27 shots faced in 66 minutes on the field.

\n\tManhattan led the game in shots 53-41, with 27 shots on goal, compared to 22.
\n\tThe Jaspers also led the game with 37 ground balls, compared to Quinnipiac’s 20, and won the face-off battle with 15 wins, compared to seven.
