The last mating pair of falcons known to inhabit the nest were Adele and Frank. They claimed it in 2019, but it is uncertain if this mom is Adele or another peregrine falcon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">New York City birders first noticed the chick on April 18, <a data-yga=\"{\" ylinkelement=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/04\/23\/nyregion\/newborn-peregrine-falcon-manhattan.html?unlocked_article_code=1.dFA.f7hZ.bLBXqcipgzAm&amp;smid=url-share\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:The Times said;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">The Times said<\/a> on the livestream of the nest.
