MORNINGSIDE HEIGHTS (WABC) — Police shot a suspect on Friday night after the suspect fired shots at two men in Harlem, police sources said.<\/p>\n
The suspect opened fire on two men, striking one in the chest and the second victim was not struck, police sources said.<\/p>\n
Officers witnessed the shooting and chased down the suspect on 125th Street and Amsterdam, police sources said.<\/p>\n
The police sergeant fired his gun at the suspect during the chase and struck the suspect, who was taken to the hospital, police sources said.<\/p>\n
The other officer on the scene, a detective, rendered aid to the victim who was shot in the chest. That victim was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in critical condition, police sources said.<\/p>\n
Bullets, unclear from the suspect or officer’s gunfire, went through the glass of Medrite Urgent Care, police sources say.<\/p>\n
No other bystanders were injured, police said.<\/p>\n
