A jihad-loving, ex-Columbia University professor is still poisoning young minds on an international college tour of hate.<\/p>\n
\u201cIslam and Anarchist\u201d author Dr. Mohamed Abdou, who was booted from Columbia for backing Hamas<\/a> after the Oct. 7, 2023 massacre, urged New York University students Tuesday to be \u201cproud\u201d to despise the United States. <\/p>\n \u201cBe proud of your hate for America,\u201d Abdou said over Zoom to a small group gathered off campus in Washington Square Park at an event sponsored by the anti-Israeli activist group Shut it Down NYU<\/a>.<\/p>\n Dr. Mohamed Abdou spoke to members of Shut it Down NYU, a non-school affiliated group, via Zoom on Tuesday. Thestustustudio\/ X<\/p>\n \u201cYou love Islam, and you should be loving Islam more than this barbarous colony. It\u2019s a plague upon the Earth. And yes, in that sense, you need to be a threat. We all need to be a threat.\u201d<\/p>\n The talk is part of the self-described <\/a>Muslim anarchist\u2019s \u201cDeath to the Akademy\u201d tour \u2014 which launched last month and encourages students across the globe to reject Western ideology for anarchy and engage in violent protests.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you think somehow you\u2019re going to free Palestine and keep America, forget it,\u201d Abdou said. \u201cYou need to actively work to destroy.\u201d<\/p>\n During his two hour rant, titled \u201cThe Student Movement is Dead. What Now?\u201d Abdou told the crowd, which also included about 30 virtual attendees, there is a lot to learn from the Oct. 7 massacre and encouraged martyrdom.\u00a0<\/p>\n The \u201cDeath to the Akademy Tour\u201d poster for the Glasgow University event. Mohamed Abdou\/ Instagram<\/p>\n \u201cIf we are to meet Muhammad, then our blood serves as a testimony,\u201d he said. \u201cWe do not fear death.\u201d<\/p>\n He hailed the Mujahideen \u2014 Islamic guerilla fighters who engage in jihad \u2014 the \u201cgreat people on Earth.\u201d<\/p>\n And he expressed his hatred for Israel \u2014 which he said \u201cinshallah, will not see its 8th decade.\u201d<\/p>\n Abdou was booted from Columbia University after saying he supported Hamas. Mohamed Abdou\/ Instagram<\/p>\n Promotional posters on social media featured an inverted red triangle \u2014 a symbol representing the Palestinian resistance movement \u2014 and a sketch of gun-wielding Hamas terrorists. A registration form for the Shut it Down event described the talk as \u201cfree,\u201d but requested donations to pay Abdou.<\/p>\n Abdou, an Egypt-born Canadian citizen, was a visiting professor at Columbia when he declared on social media, \u201cYes, I\u2019m with Hamas and Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad\u201d after the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas terror attacks in Israel.<\/p>\n Then-Columbia President Minouche Shafik was forced to address his comments during a bombshell congressional hearing during which she said Abdou \u201cwill never work at Columbia again.\u201d<\/p>\n Shut it Down NYU is not recognized by the university.<\/p>\n The Shut it Down NYU poster for its event with Abdou. Mohamed Abdou\/ Instagram<\/p>\n It is a group of students, faculty, staff, and organizers that demands NYU stop \u201ccooperating\u201d with the school\u2019s Tel Aviv campus, according to its mission statement<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n It\u2019s a branch of the radical People\u2019s Solidarity Coalition \u2014 a pro-Palestine activist group that once called for an \u201carmed struggle\u201d during 2024 protests on NYU\u2019s campus, according to the school<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n NYU said it\u2019s investigating the event and are concerned about the violent sentiments shared with their students.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThe organizers simply lied about this being an NYU event. We didn\u2019t sanction it. We didn\u2019t allow them on campus. No university-affiliated group was involved,\u201d Wiley Norvell, Senior Vice President for University Relations and Public Affairs, told The Post.<\/p>\n A post shared on Abdou\u2019s Instagram account. We strongly condemn the threatening language and imagery used in promoting the event, and the encouragement of violence expressed by speakers.\u201d<\/p>\n The posh school has been a hotbed of pro-Palestine protests, with\u00a0some 130 people \u2014 including 65 students and staff \u2014\u00a0arrested during encampments two years ago.<\/p>\n The school hired pro-Hamas Professor Eva Tuck<\/a> just two days after Oct. 7.<\/p>\n Students at Glasgow University watched Abdou\u2019s lecture on campus. Glasgow University Justice for Palestine Society\/ Instagram<\/p>\n And another woke professor, Dr. Linda Liu, canceled class last year just before finals to go protest Israel.<\/p>\n Other leftist organizations have welcomed Abdou to their campuses. <\/p>\n Students for a Liberated Palestine at Columbia-affiliated Union Theological Seminary and a group called Queer Muslims of NYC organized an iftar event at the Morningside Heights campus last month \u2013 but university officials shut it down, according to a social media post from the groups.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThis event was neither hosted nor sanctioned by Union,\u201d a spokesperson told The Post. <\/p>\n President Serene Jones told organizers at the time she was \u201cshocked and upset\u201d by the posters promoting the iftar. <\/p>\n \u201cDeath, war, violence, killing \u2014 this is not what Union stands for,\u201d she wrote. <\/p>\n Abdou\u2019s alarming tour has also made stops at Ontario\u2019s University of Windsor and the University of Glasgow in Scotland.\u00a0<\/p>\n Glasgow officials reportedly tried disrupting the event \u2014 forcing students to move multiple times \u2014 but it was ultimately able to go on.<\/p>\n Officials from both Glasgow and Windsor said these events were unsanctioned and unaffiliated with the universities.\u00a0<\/p>\n Shut it Down NYU and Abdou did not respond to requests for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t
