(PIX11) \u2014 Police are looking for a gunman responsible for shooting a victim in the back in The Bronx.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged shooting occurred on Thursday inside the apartment building located at 321 East 166th St, according to the NYPD.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pix11.com\/\" class=\"promo-link__link\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><br \/>\n\t\tGet ongoing crime and safety coverage on our homepage\t<\/a><\/p>\n<p>At around 11:51 p.m. on Thursday, the unidentified man allegedly revealed that he had a gun and fired it at a 29-year-old man in the back, according to police.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" height=\"720\" width=\"1280\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Man-shot-in-the-back.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4393273\"  \/>(NYPD Handout)<\/p>\n<p>The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged shooter fled on foot, traveling westbound on East 166th Street, according to investigators.<\/p>\n<p>Police did not say if the gunman and the victim knew each other.<\/p>\n<p>Submit tips to police by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), visiting\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/crimestoppers.nypdonline.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">crimestoppers.nypdonline.org<\/a>, downloading the NYPD Crime Stoppers mobile app, or texting 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
