It is, I think, much more pronounced this year. It&#8217;s a situation where you try to avoid one and you hit another,&#8221; said Mahopac resident Bob Stasiak.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">New York State Department of Transportation workers were seen filling the potholes Monday afternoon, though many drivers say they would like to see the road fully repaved in that area.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The DOT says that maintenance crews are working around the clock to repair potholes.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">&#8220;While potholes commonly form during the winter months, this year\u2019s problem has been intensified by recent severe weather and repeated freeze\u2013thaw cycles. NYSDOT appreciates the public\u2019s patience as crews continue repairs,&#8221; a spokesperson wrote in a statement.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Drivers can report potholes on state-owned highways by calling 1-800-POTHOLE (1-800-768-4653).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Some drivers in the Hudson Valley say that Route 6 is filled with potholes.
