{"id":212510,"date":"2026-04-28T12:04:06","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T12:04:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/212510\/"},"modified":"2026-04-28T12:04:06","modified_gmt":"2026-04-28T12:04:06","slug":"citadels-griffin-says-to-meet-with-governor-of-new-york-on-direction-of-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/212510\/","title":{"rendered":"Citadel&#8217;s Griffin Says to Meet With Governor of New York on Direction of City"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LONDON, April 28 (Reuters) &#8211; Ken \u2060Griffin, \u2060founder and \u2060CEO of hedge fund and market \u200btrading firm Citadel, said on Tuesday \u200che will meet with \u200cthe governor of New \u2060York \u2060Kathy Hochul on Thursday to talk about the &#8216;future \u200bdirection&#8217; of the city.<\/p>\n<p>Miami-based hedge fund Citadel has objected to New York \u200bMayor Zohran Mamdani&#8217;s attempt to use Griffin&#8217;s \u2060name \u2060in his push \u2060to tax \u200bindividuals from outside the state who own \u200bNew York \u2060City residences.<\/p>\n<p>Asked during a Norges Bank Investment Management conference panel on whether he would like to \u2060run for office, Griffin said: &#8220;No one would vote for \u2060me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He added that he would meet with New York governor to talk about the future direction of the state capital.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Is New York going to put their fiscal house in order and run \u2060itself from a position of strong government that&#8217;s pro-business?
