CLEARFIELD \u2014 The Clearfield County Fair Queen Program is partnering with F.O.E. 812 to host a barbecue chicken dinner on Saturday, May 16, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. as part of its Clearfield County Fair Queens for a Cause initiative.<\/p>\n
The dinner will take place in the Agriculture Building at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds.<\/p>\n
Proceeds will benefit 2025 Clearfield County Fair Queen Lauren Kennedy\u2019s chosen local charity: the Clearfield and Moshannon Valley chapters of the FFA.<\/p>\n
Since 2001, the Clearfield County Fair Queen Program has raised more than $150,000 in support of the Children\u2019s Miracle Network and other local charities through its Queens for a Cause initiative.<\/p>\n
Each year, the reigning Fair Queen selects a charity that is meaningful to her, continuing a long-standing tradition of community impact.<\/p>\n
This year, Kennedy chose to support the two Clearfield County FFA chapters, a decision rooted in her personal connection to the organization.<\/p>\n
As an FFA alumna and a current student at Penn State pursuing a degree in agricultural education, Kennedy is passionate about supporting youth in agriculture. She credits the FFA program with providing invaluable opportunities for students to develop agricultural knowledge, leadership abilities, and professional skills.<\/p>\n
Dinner tickets are $12 and include a barbecue chicken half, macaroni salad, baked beans, a roll with butter, and dessert. Guests may choose to dine in or take their meals to go.<\/p>\n
A variety of raffle baskets will also be available, with chances available for purchase.<\/p>\n
Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Clearfield County Fair Queen Program via Facebook or by visiting the Clearfield County Fair Office.<\/p>\n
