The New York City artist behind an antisemitic and Hamas-obsessed installation on taxpayer-funded Governors Island was caught on camera going berserk when probed about the hate-filled artwork.<\/p>\n
Rebecca Goyette flipped out when The Post approached her on Tuesday to ask a simple question after her so-called artwork sparked outrage when it sprung up at a weekend family Halloween event.<\/p>\n
\u201cGet the f\u2013k away from me, what are you doing?\u201d she shrieked as she tried to shield her face under her hooded sweatshirt.<\/p>\n

Goyette then refused to comment when given the opportunity to explain her installation as she fled down a Brooklyn street.<\/p>\n
\u201cI just want to find out about your art installation,\u201d she was calmly asked.<\/p>\n
It comes after her unauthorized installation, which featured a mock street sign reading \u201cF\u2013k Israel Ln\u201d and a \u201cHamas Lover\u201d poster, was widely blasted for excoriating the Jewish state.<\/p>\n
Her disturbing collection popped up in a space occupied by Swale \u2014 a food-forest non-profit that is part of the Trust of Governor Island\u2019s in-residence program.<\/p>\n
The Trust for Governors Island and Swale were both quick to condemn the exhibit \u2014 insisting Goyette was not part of the group\u2019s official programming.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe view this as a deliberate and malicious act by the artist,\u201d Swale said.<\/p>\n
Goyette\u2019s unauthorized installation featured a mock street sign reading \u201cF\u2013k Israel Ln\u201d and a \u201cHamas Lover\u201d poster \u2014 and was widely blasted for excoriating the Jewish state. @endjewhatred<\/p>\n
The exhibit was up for a few hours before officials became aware of it and tore it down, a rep for the non-profit said.<\/p>\n
Goyette, who was apparently invited by a resident artist, had now been banned from the space, they added.<\/p>\n
Mayor Eric Adams was among those to rip her display, arguing his administration has a zero tolerance for antisemitism or any other form of hate speech.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe exhibit displayed at an art house on Governors Island over the weekend was sickening and deeply offensive to the Jewish community and to any New Yorker opposed to hate,\u201d he said in a statement.<\/p>\n
