\n\tNew Yorkers spotted a rom-com scene in the East Village on Tuesday afternoon, when A$AP Rocky<\/a> proposed to Margaret Qualley <\/a>in front of the Astor Place subway station. The duo was filming a secret project for Chanel<\/a>, according to the French house. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe are working on a project that is still confidential; we will share more information at the appropriate time,\u201d the brand told WWD in a statement. <\/p>\n

\n\tThanks to paparazzi, photos of the project set have gone viral on social media. The scene happened weeks before Chanel\u2019s upcoming M\u00e9tiers d\u2019Art show in New York, which will be the brand\u2019s first runway show in the city in seven years. The event will also mark Matthieu Blazy<\/a>\u2018s first M\u00e9tiers d\u2019Art as the brand\u2019s creative director. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI am delighted that\u00a0Matthieu Blazy<\/a>\u00a0has chosen New York for his first M\u00e9tiers d\u2019Art show,\u201d\u00a0Bruno Pavlovsky<\/a>, president of fashion and president of Chanel SAS, said in a statement, as WWD previously reported<\/a>. \u201cHe will make the creative energy of the city he knows so well resonate with the exceptional savoir-faire of the house.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRocky and Qualley have famous celebrity partners. He\u2019s been in a relationship with Rihanna since 2019, and the actress married producer Jack Antonoff in 2023. <\/p>\n
